It sounds to me like people like your face or they wouldn't be stroking it, no matter how 'Party-fied' they were, nobody wants to pat a turd!
You will be happy to know that we have had a tramp sleeping in your bed since the day you flew out so it should be good and whiffy by the time you get back :D
